Upon The Beatles splitting up Ringo Starr went on to start his solo career and released two albums known as ‘Sentimental Journey’ and ‘Beaucoups of Blues’.
Following on from this, Starr then went on to release two top ten hits called ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ in 71 and ‘Back Off Boogaloo’ in 1972. In 1973 Ringo joined up with producer Richard Perry and released 2 successful number one hits – ‘Photograph’ and ‘You’re Sixteen.’
Another famous top ten hit that was released shortly after by Starr was ‘Oh My My’ and was almost as successful as ‘Goodnight Vienna’, which was released in 1974 and featured the hits ‘Only You’ and ‘No No Song’.
Ringo Starr released several albums through the 70’s and beginning of 80’s but his 1983 album ‘Old Wave’ did not find a US distributor. However, in 1989 he toured with his new ‘All-Starr Band’.
In addition to this he also released a new studio album ‘Time Takes Time’ in 1992 and ‘Vertical Man’ followed in 1998. Two studio records appeared not long after known as ‘Ringorama’ in 2003 and ‘Choose Love’.
